Profile

A quintessentially English dining experience boasting iconic and panoramic views of the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye, Gillray's Steakhouse & Bar celebrates the best of English produce.

The menu features steaks sourced from top quality suppliers, such as 35-day Angus Beef from local butcher O'Sheas, seasonal fish and poultry specialities, Forman's London Cure smoked salmon, and Gillray's signature dessert, traditional sherry trifle and cabinet pudding! Also experience the "Yorkies": traditional miniature Yorkshire puddings filled with Montgomery cheese. The Bar overlooking the River Thames features one of the finest selections of gin in London, including over 70 gins and an impressive cocktail collection, ordered by historical era, from the Georgian through to the next generation of cocktails - molecular mixology. Soak up the views whilst being surrounded by political history and James Gillray's famous artworks. Gillray's also hosts live jazz every Thursday from 7:30pm.

Gillray's offers an ideal venue for festivities, office functions, meetings, social engagements, dining and cocktails, and the famous afternoon tea served in the spectacular Library Lounge which used to house the old Members Library. Tea at County Hall is a truly magnificent experience. A choice of several varieties of tea, finely cut sandwiches, freshly baked scones with jam and clotted cream and a range of delicate homemade cakes and pastries are combined to make for a memorable afternoon treat. A glass of champagne can also be added to complement this English tradition.
